Senior Production Buyer Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and maintaining a master schedule for several manufacturing production lines.

• Organizing, developing, and preparing master schedules tailored to meet specific customer requirements.

• Accelerating and coordinating detailed scheduling along with the systematic release of orders.

• Acting as a liaison with Corporate Customer Service, production, engineering, and other departments regarding schedules, production methods, materials, and designs.

• Monitoring orders in progress to ensure adherence to timelines.

• Assisting in the identification of capacity and resource limitations.

• Helping to update the master schedule as needed.

• Overseeing the printing and distribution of work orders to the production floor.

• Creating job orders in the ERP system as required.

• Collaborating with production management and teams to assess daily progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Aiding in ensuring inventory accuracy, conducting cycle counts, and making necessary corrections.

• Managing the procurement of all raw materials, supplies, and other goods essential for production support.

• Generating daily open order reports, OTD reporting, OEE, or any assigned metrics.

• Participating in daily manufacturing meetings and other relevant support meetings.

• Supporting the annual physical inventory process.

• Collaborating with the Master Planner to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Updating the Gemba boards on a daily basis.

• Handling various production and warehouse reports/projects as assigned.

• Complying with all company policies and safety regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Capability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Detail-oriented approach to tasks.

• A minimum of five (5+) years of experience in planning and scheduling.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems or equivalent is preferred.
