Senior Product Security Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement offensive security operations and engagements for both product and internal tools at Instacart.

• Deploy and manage a variety of open-source and commercially available security tools that are scalable and maintainable over the long term.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and product, to incorporate security testing into their software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Share expertise and mentor fellow team members, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Security Engineering or Penetration Testing, showcasing a robust understanding of product security concepts and principles.

• Proficient in mobile application penetration testing, AI security testing, or cloud penetration testing.

• Experience with threat modeling, conducting security assessments, and performing security architecture reviews.

• Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize initiatives that enhance key security metrics.

• Capability to balance urgency with the delivery of high-quality, pragmatic solutions.

• Strong self-management and organizational skills.

• Comprehensive knowledge of effective remediation techniques for various application vulnerabilities, along with the ability to communicate these to product teams.

• Proficient in creating written documentation and detailed technical documents to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on security objectives and strategies.
