Senior Product Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Responsible for application security pertaining to products and/or features managed by your designated development teams.

• Conducting security assessments and addressing issues identified through SAST, SCA, IAST, DAST, and penetration testing.

• Utilizing AI and MCP to deliver intelligent, context-sensitive security guidance and automation.

• Offering remediation consulting services to the designated development teams.

• Assisting with vulnerability management reporting and tracking efforts.

• Overseeing third-party penetration testing engagements, evaluating reports, and initiating tickets for remediation.

• Contributing to the setup and management of security tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in application/product security.

• At least 2 years of experience in securing Java, Python, and/or JavaScript web applications.

• Familiarity with enterprise-level software architecture components and cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in establishing trusted advisor relationships with engineers, product managers, and engineering leadership (up to director level).

• Proficiency with AI security tools and context-aware automation within the SSDLC framework.

• Understanding of AI privacy and governance within developer workflows.

• Experience in utilizing and developing agentic AI systems that function collaboratively.

• Proven track record of advocating for the mitigation of application security risks while simultaneously supporting the relevant development/engineering teams.

• Expertise in identifying vulnerabilities in source code, providing detailed reproduction steps for exploitation, and offering recommendations to engineering teams for issue remediation.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is mandatory.
