Senior Product Owner – Fintech, Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery for the Billing and Data teams by managing team backlogs, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring that tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for engineering execution.

• Create comprehensive feature epics and user stories with specific acceptance criteria that provide clarity for engineering teams to execute without confusion.

• Conduct and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that releases comply with functional requirements, quality standards, and platform integrity expectations.

• Organize release planning, draft detailed release notes, and manage internal communication for rollouts across both platforms.

• Collaborate with fellow Product Owners to handle cross-team dependencies and sequencing within shared initiatives.

• Work closely with Product Managers to gain a deep understanding of product strategy and vision.

• Partner with Engineering Managers to align resource capacity and integrate technical insights into backlog planning.

• Collaborate with the Program Manager to facilitate cross-functional coordination.

• Define and verify Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that deliver incremental value.

• Provide product training and enablement for customer-facing teams, support staff, and other internal stakeholders.

• Maintain transparency by communicating forthcoming work, progress, and timelines to stakeholders and executives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager.

• Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the products and features under your ownership.

• Strong comprehension of cloud-based data platforms, pipelines, and tools (such as BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, etc.).

• Proficient in writing and executing SQL queries against BigQuery as part of UAT validation.

• Experienced in Agile development frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma).

• Proven experience in conducting and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure product quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Strong communication skills that effectively bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in coordinating software release cycles, QA processes, and documentation.

• A passion for understanding end users and converting insights into actionable product improvements.
