Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Responsible for owning, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog to ensure stories are prepared for sprint planning.

• Serves as the main point of contact for stakeholders to convert business requirements into detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Establishes and communicates the product roadmap, ensuring that development activities align with business strategy and customer expectations.

• Collaborates with developers to clarify requirements, prioritize bugs, and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as refinements and reviews.

• Reviews completed work and ensures that the product adheres to the Definition of Done as well as regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field.

• Skilled in using Agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.

• Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies, product life cycles, and user experience principles.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.

• Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) are preferred.

• Capable of understanding technical limitations, including APIs and system architecture.
