This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and implement product marketing strategies to enhance awareness, adoption, and engagement with Open VSX.
• Establish compelling positioning, messaging, value propositions, and narratives tailored to specific audiences for Open VSX.
• Create clear communications that articulate the significance of funding essential developer infrastructure.
• Convert technical capabilities, product roadmap priorities, customer requirements, usage insights, and market feedback into concise messaging.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Business Development teams to facilitate the development, launch, and marketing of the Open VSX Managed Registry.
• Develop and implement launch strategies for Open VSX products.
• Utilize data-driven insights to advance Open VSX initiatives.
• Work in partnership with the Senior Sales Manager, Commercial Offerings to aid in prospect education and campaign implementation.
• Produce high-quality product marketing materials.
• Cultivate strong working relationships within the Open VSX, Eclipse Theia, cloud IDE, and developer tools ecosystems.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• An MBA is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience, ideally 5+ years, in product marketing for developer tools, software platforms, marketplaces, cloud services, SaaS, enterprise software, or similar technical products.
• Experience in supporting product launches, commercial offerings, sales enablement, go-to-market strategies, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong comprehension of how product-led growth, consultative sales, and community-driven adoption can synergize.
• Capability to articulate technical features and commercial offerings into engaging and clear messaging.
• Knowledge of developer ecosystems, extension marketplaces, IDEs, cloud development environments, and DevOps platforms.
• Proven ability to facilitate sales dialogues through effective messaging and enablement resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven competency in managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated, comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficient in English with demonstrated experience in an English-speaking business setting.
• Proficiency in German, French, or another European language is a significant advantage.
