• Articulate what "success" means for your sector in terms that relate to revenue, customer retention, and outcomes, rather than merely feature delivery.
• Collaborate closely with 3–5 strategic accounts in your sector, not for sales purposes, but to gain a thorough understanding of their inspection workflows, challenges, and decision-making processes, enabling you to write requirements they would recognize as their own.
• Conduct structured discovery using various methods (customer interviews, operational ride-alongs, competitive analysis, usage data) and compile findings into a prioritized set of issues for your sector.
• Engage in negotiations with platform PMs concerning engineering resources, advocating for your sector's priorities backed by data and customer insights rather than volume.
• Formulate requirements that withstand engineering scrutiny: detailed enough for development yet adaptable enough for platform-wide applicability.
• Establish internal credibility as the expert in understanding your industry better than anyone else in the organization.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a scientific, technological, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 8 years of professional experience, including more than 5 years in product management, solutions consulting, technical sales, or a similar customer-facing role in enterprise software.
• Extensive domain knowledge in at least one area: solar energy, wind energy, commercial properties, specifically in electric utilities, oil & gas. "Extensive" means you can visit a customer site and comprehend the assets, inspection workflows, regulatory context, and business model.
• Proven ability to establish trusted relationships with enterprise customers and transform those relationships into product insights, going beyond mere feature requests to a deeper understanding of core needs.
• Proficient in conducting structured discovery and synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative data into a prioritized set of problems actionable by other teams.
• Strong commercial awareness: you grasp how product decisions impact pipeline, deal size, retention, and competitive standing within your sector.
• Outstanding communication skills. You are capable of presenting to a customer’s VP of Asset Management on one day and translating that conversation into a product brief for solutions PMs and Engineering the next day.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and inspection locations as needed.
• Competitive base salary, annual bonus, and stock options.
• A variety of medical insurance plans to choose from, including options with an HSA and full premium coverage for yourself and your dependents.
• Unlimited PTO: We genuinely prioritize work-life balance and mental health.
• Opportunities for autonomy and career advancement.
• A diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture: a workplace where your voice is valued.
