• Lead the internal product vision by crafting a high-quality product definition, establishing scope, and prioritizing tasks.
• Facilitate the development of product features and functionalities by coordinating with the engineering team and pertinent stakeholders. Collect user requirements, formulate product specifications, and communicate effectively with engineering and other stakeholders throughout all phases of planning and execution.
• Establish clear, verifiable, and concise high-quality product specifications, success metrics, and prioritization based on customer insights, market analysis, and business objectives, and effectively relay this information to the relevant TPM and engineering teams.
• Create and suggest process enhancement initiatives to ensure alignment across teams and projects. Assist in the rollout of processes and iterative cycles for ongoing improvement.
• Engage actively in regular planning sessions to support product prioritization throughout the organization.
• Assess and comprehend customer, commercial, and technical constraints and trade-offs by collaborating with engineering, commercial, legal, safety, and regulatory teams to inform product roadmaps and backlogs. Propose a way forward with consensus from senior management.
• Define, evaluate, communicate, and continuously refresh key product plans and metrics to ensure that priorities remain current.
• Develop and conduct engaging customer demonstrations and achieve desired outcomes in customer meetings.
• Collaborate, conduct research, review competitor messaging, and analyze and compare rival products to ensure Torc offers the best products available.
• Assist in establishing, tracking, and accomplishing goals aligned with the company’s overarching vision, objectives, and initiatives.
• Promote customer-centric development across Torc and support the organization in adopting a customer-focused work culture.
• Serve as a role model for Torc's core values.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Master's degree or higher with 7+ years of experience.
• PhD or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
• Highly skilled and proficient in the field; capable of conducting complex and significant work with minimal supervision and considerable latitude for independent judgment.
• Proven experience with multiple products, not limited to a specific area of interest or expertise. Willingness to act as PM for a diverse range of subjects.
• Familiarity with Autonomous driving systems, Advanced driver-assistance systems, and/or related robotics technologies.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, including software, hardware, systems integration, verification and validation, testing, safety, and compliance.
• Understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations associated with autonomous vehicles (e.g. ISO26262, SOTIF, FuSa, UL4600, AVSC, etc).
