Senior Product Manager – Temporary Hire

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to transform their vision into reality through effective prioritization, roadmapping, and requirements gathering.

• Lead and oversee a cross-functional team of designers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver solutions iteratively and incrementally.

• Balance business needs, user requirements, and technical capabilities to create solutions that yield significant impact and outcomes.

• Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs while communicating with internal stakeholders and leadership to ensure operational support for delivery.

• Establish outcome-driven success metrics and evaluate the impact of the work to inform future iterations and strategic decisions.

• Facilitate effective product strategy methodologies and agile ceremonies.

• Enable a continuous feedback loop for solutions based on qualitative and quantitative data from clients, customers, and end-users.

• Communicate effectively with clients to maintain ongoing alignment of team priorities.

• Engage relevant parties across the government ecosystem to collaboratively address issues that affect our ability to achieve desired outcomes.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance discovery, documentation, and experimentation, while improving analysis, communication, and decision-making.

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance team efficiency through the responsible application of AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 8+ years of product management experience in a relevant field (such as software development, government technology, or civic technology).

• Strong product thinking abilities — employing a structured approach to navigate from ambiguous challenges to impactful solutions.

• Proficient in client relationship management and customer success.

• A design thinker and lean product thinker (e.g., hypothesis and experimentation-driven approach to MVP definition); capable of delivering using design thinking methodologies including research, facilitating workshops, and enabling decision-making with clients.

• An outcome-oriented mindset focused on delivering value to end users and clients, supported by measurable, data-driven results.

• Experience in aligning cross-functional teams and stakeholders around common goals.

• Proven ability to translate business requirements and user research findings into clear, concise epics and user stories.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams utilizing agile methodologies.

• Capability to set expectations, eliminate blockers, and hold the team accountable to meet contractual and client expectations.

• A willingness to seek diverse perspectives and ask for assistance when necessary.

• Familiarity with accessibility and human-centered design principles.

• Ability to guide a team through change effectively.
