• Develop and implement strategies for the product line.
• Establish the product strategy and roadmap that aligns with organizational objectives and market opportunities.
• Optimize innovation within the product line while ensuring operational excellence.
• Create business cases for new product offerings and expanding the product portfolio.
• Track product performance, market trends, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with field-based commercial teams (such as account managers, field applications scientists, and scientific affairs directors) to gather insights from pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic customers.
• Collect market insights from conferences, publications, and key opinion leaders.
• Conduct and analyze voice of customer research to guide product strategy, requirements, and customer experiences.
• Work alongside R&D to define product requirements, specifications, and performance metrics.
• Determine product positioning, pricing, and differentiation within the multiplexed immunoassay and proteomics markets.
• Support the creation of marketing materials and training resources for product launches.
• Take responsibility for the commercial success of assigned product line duties.
• Define and evaluate KPIs to assess product line performance for ongoing improvements and lifecycle management.
• Conduct competitive product analyses.
• Develop strategies for addressing both direct and indirect product competition.
• Monitor competitor tactics and adjust positioning as necessary.
• Collaborate with Assay Development, Quality, and Operations to ensure successful product development initiatives.
• Partner with Global Sales Management to create and implement specific tactical marketing and training programs.
• Work with Sales, Scientific Support, Customer Service, and Finance to enhance marketing effectiveness and foster customer loyalty.
• Provide mentorship and support to other Product Managers.
• Assist team members in crafting product messaging, market sizing, financial forecasts, pricing, and other marketing expertise areas.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
• At least seven years of experience in product management.
• Strong knowledge of product management best practices with a proven success record in positioning, managing, and marketing Life Science products across various customer segments.
• Demonstrated understanding of immunoassay platforms, their development, and their relevance in different research domains.
• Familiarity with the technical and biological complexities of developing and commercializing tools for measuring intracellular targets.
• Knowledge of other relevant technologies, including flow cytometry, ELISA, and Western blot.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple, often shifting priorities and complex issues while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to convey information clearly and understandably, regardless of the format (e.g., documents, public speaking, presentations, etc.).
• Ability to establish and nurture relationships based on trust and respect with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively as a valuable team member.
• Proven critical thinking and analytical skills, along with the ability to navigate complex situations and demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
• A tendency to be creative, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated in executing and completing assigned responsibilities.
