Senior Product Manager, Cloud Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Gain a deep understanding of our users by conducting interviews and analyzing data to create personas, user journeys, and identify key tasks to be accomplished.

• Propel essential components of the Confluent Cloud Network Roadmap that supports Confluent Cloud services such as Kafka, Flink, Connectors, Data Governance, etc., with a strong emphasis on user experience and cost-effectiveness.

• Establish adaptable interfaces that power API, CLI, and Terraform, along with data models and processes, while launching various new network options and swiftly iterating on existing ones.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle: Lead multi-team, cross-functional initiatives from initial conception through delivery and ongoing iterations post-launch.

• Close the loop: Set quantitative and qualitative targets, assess performance against them, communicate results to stakeholders, and apply those insights to enhance the product.

• Manage complexity: Create value while navigating the surprises and challenges posed by a rapidly evolving product, ambitious partnership goals, and a fast-growing organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager with a focus on cloud technologies.

• Proven experience in building and supporting enterprise-grade products as a product manager, engineer, or solutions architect.

• Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and justifying a clear product roadmap and backlog supported by user stories and customer insights.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to establish strong relationships with colleagues and customers worldwide.

• Proven track record of driving business outcomes through product modifications.

• At least 6 years of experience in Networking within a PM or technical capacity (preferred).

• Experience with implementing AWS/Azure/GCP private networking features such as Private Link, VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, etc., for a SaaS product (preferred).

• Familiarity with Envoy, Service Mesh, DNS, and Kubernetes Networking (preferred).

• Experience in network traffic metering and billing (preferred).

• Domain expertise in networking technologies combined with Product Management experience (preferred).
