• Oversee the product philosophy, vision, and strategic direction for our advertising formats to ensure they are engaging for users and effective for our advertising partners.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, design, marketing, partnerships, legal, and policy teams to develop, test, and launch revenue-generating products that benefit both our advertisers and users.
• Effectively communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions to a diverse range of stakeholders, from partner teams to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with other product teams to enhance our portfolio of ad formats tailored for businesses, including game studios, developers, and advertisers.
• Develop a roadmap of experiments and growth strategies for our ad formats at Discord.
• Understand and connect with our users, particularly those who are most active on Discord.
• Strong product insight in the ad formats sector, with a profound understanding of user engagement with advertising.
• Ability to excel in ambiguous situations, with enthusiasm for discovering simple solutions to complex challenges and executing them effectively.
• Over 7 years of experience delivering high-quality software, prioritizing tasks, making trade-off decisions, and establishing timelines.
• Knowledge of AI offerings in the technology landscape and effective utilization of these technologies.
• Proven technical competence and effectiveness in collaborating closely with engineering teams.
• A history of driving significant results through rapid experimentation aimed at achieving metric goals for an advertising technology product.
• Strong analytical skills to swiftly organize and utilize data (including SQL proficiency) to make informed product decisions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
