This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Engages in the development and upkeep of product forms and rates to guarantee that Hanover possesses the capacity and capability to provide quality, competitive offerings to our clientele.
• Implement product strategies in partnership with Business Units, Operations, IT Systems, Underwriting, Legal, Claims, Actuarial, and Compliance.
• Leverage a solid understanding of products, operations, and processes to aid in form formatting, prepare filings, and oversee objections and approvals.
• Coordinate automation requests for systems related to filed products.
• Assist with filings for projects, maintenance, and compliance initiatives.
• Investigate filing requirements and formulate filing strategies; offer insights and guidance for states with stringent regulations or complex filings.
• Assemble filing packages by meticulously exploring and researching various resources and tools to fulfill filing prerequisites.
• Maintain communication with project team members to keep them informed about the status of filings.
• Prioritize and manage responses to objections.
• Comprehend the implications of changes on other areas of the filing or coverage and provide relevant consultation.
• Engage in special research, audits, and compliance projects as needed.
• Assist in the coordination, documentation, assessment, and enhancement of Filing & Regulatory Best Practices.
• 2-5 years of experience in Underwriting, Regulatory/Compliance, or Claims, alongside an additional 2+ years of experience as a Product Analyst or Filing Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• CPCU, RPLU, CIC, or other insurance industry designations are preferred (may be in progress).
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, SERFF, and Tracker is advantageous.
• Understanding of rate and form circulars issued by rating bureaus and relevant research tools.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capability to prioritize numerous projects and work effectively under deadlines; must be able to manage multiple assignments while remaining focused and organized.
