Senior Product Engineer, Typescript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new functionalities across the technology stack (Node.js, ReactJS, and React Native), emphasizing usability, clarity, and genuine user value, while defining APIs and GraphQL contracts during the feature design phase.

• Dedicate most of your time to your area of expertise, while consistently contributing to the web application, backend, and mobile app by tackling features, smaller tasks, and performing code reviews as needed.

• Create and enhance backend services and APIs (REST and GraphQL) that support our platform, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party services.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to convert requirements into practical, well-defined technical solutions.

• Contribute to Engineering Requirement Documents (ERDs) that outline data models, API contracts, and integration points prior to implementation.

• Write clean, understandable, and thoroughly tested code. Engage in code reviews and help establish shared standards concerning quality, testing, and maintainability. Enhance existing systems where it delivers clear value to the product or developers.

• Take ownership of the features you develop. Recognize issues or gaps, suggest enhancements, and iterate based on feedback. You should be comfortable navigating some ambiguity and adapting as requirements shift.

• Decompose product requirements into data models, GraphQL types, and component structures before initiating implementation code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience with TypeScript as your primary programming language. Advanced proficiency in TypeScript — including complex types, generics, conditional types, and utilizing the type system to enforce contracts and model domain logic throughout the stack.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering production applications from start to finish and owning features from design to release.

• Regular daily use of AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or similar) for development, debugging, and problem-solving. We expect engineers to utilize these tools to enhance speed and tackle complex challenges.

• Strong communication skills in English. Comfortable working in a remote, cross-timezone environment and collaborating asynchronously.

• Deep senior expertise in at least ONE of the following areas:

• • Web (ReactJS): modern frontend patterns, performance, component architecture, and creating responsive, user-friendly interfaces with meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with TailwindCSS or similar styling frameworks.
• • Backend (Node.js): expertise in GraphQL schema design, resolvers, dataloaders, and API structuring for maintainability. Strong experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and understanding data consistency and performance.
• • Mobile (React Native): experience in shipping and maintaining production RN apps, integrating native modules, navigating app store release cycles, mobile performance optimization, and offline patterns.

• Proficient in the other two areas — able to read, extend, and review code in those domains today, with a desire to advance toward a senior level across all three. If you have only worked in one area and prefer to remain there, this role may not be suitable.
