Senior Product Engineer – Remote EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage backend systems that convert raw enterprise data into structured, meaningful business representations.

• Create and sustain scalable data processing pipelines, semantic storage layers, and version control systems.

• Oversee features from inception to deployment, encompassing data modeling, backend logic, and API design and integration.

• Make and justify architectural choices, weighing long-term scalability against immediate execution speed.

• Construct robust, production-ready APIs and services that drive both internal and external applications.

• Incorporate modern AI tools into development processes to expedite implementation, testing, and documentation.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, impactful features.

• Contribute to engineering best practices and influence the development of a scalable, maintainable platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or Product Engineer in a SaaS or product-driven environment.

• Extensive experience in building data-intensive or distributed systems in a production setting.

• Proficient in backend development using languages such as Python, Java, or similar.

• Strong understanding of APIs, data modeling, and cloud-based architectures.

• Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments.

• Ability to make practical technology decisions based on the context of the problem rather than sticking to a fixed stack.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose complex systems into scalable solutions.

• Strong communication abilities, capable of conveying technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A collaborative mindset coupled with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools in a practical, productivity-driven manner.

• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT systems, or large-scale data processing architectures (Preferred).

• Knowledge of semantic systems such as knowledge graphs, ontology mapping, or data catalogs (Preferred).

• Experience with enterprise systems or complex ERP environments (Preferred).

• Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) or analytics platforms (Preferred).

• Background in AI/ML systems or in integrating AI models into production workflows (Preferred).
