Senior Product Engineer, Mechanical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical contact for discerning clients in advanced high-tech industries.

• Assess new and intricate customer inquiries regarding their technical feasibility and economic practicality.

• Offer technical assistance throughout the entire process, from the conceptual and design stages to production readiness.

• Formulate technically and economically optimal manufacturing strategies, including decisions on whether to make or buy components.

• Facilitate technical collaboration among Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research, and Development teams.

• Take final technical responsibility for intricate products and assemblies.

• Coordinate both internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well-informed decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• Completed education in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., HTL, University of Applied Sciences (FH) or Technical University (TU)).

• Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or specialized/custom machine and plant engineering.

• Hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, or joining technologies with a strong grasp of tolerances and technical feasibility.

• Proven track record in project management or technical leadership of cross-disciplinary teams.

• Proficient CAD skills along with experience using PDM, PLM, or ERP systems.

• A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with exceptional logical reasoning abilities.

• High degree of personal responsibility, a proactive mindset, and a confident presence as a technical liaison.

• Fluent in both German and English in a business context.
