This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the strategy, design, and introduction of new and improved insurance products.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from concept and market research to regulatory approval and launch.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and Managing General Agents to create and update forms and manuals.
• Suggest changes in response to objections from the department of insurance.
• Work closely with Actuarial and State Filings to facilitate product launches.
• Define and assist in shaping the product vision architecture.
• Conduct competitor analysis and identify market opportunities.
• Manage the entire process with stakeholders, including ideation, design, development, and post-launch optimization.
• Ensure all products meet state and federal regulations, while maintaining the necessary support and documentation.
• Keep track of industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform product development and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, State Filings, and Sales teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of client product development projects.
• Offer subject matter expertise and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of innovation and accountability.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in product development and insurance compliance.
• Extensive experience in the development of insurance products within the insurance sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in developing proprietary as well as bureau-based programs (i.e., ISO and AAIS) and exceptions.
• Ability to review and interpret bureau circulars effectively.
• Profound understanding of Property & Casualty insurance products and their associated regulatory environments.
• Proven capability to assist with complex, cross-functional projects and drive collaborative results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred familiarity with SERFF, ISOnet, Wrike project management software, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer, and IRMI.
