Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee design strategy across multiple product teams, converting business objectives and user needs into clear design direction that influences product roadmaps and team priorities.

• Implement AI-driven workflows to bridge the gap between strategy and production, creating prototypes and iterating directly in code instead of relying on static handoffs. Set an example by using tools such as Lovable, Claude, and Cursor for comprehensive design execution.

• Set and uphold high craft standards by defining foundational and reusable Agentic Experience patterns, designing scalable components for the design system (Nexus), and reviewing work to ensure quality and uniformity.

• Mentor and develop designers through critique, guidance, and structured feedback—supporting their growth in craft, decision-making, and capability to work independently with AI-driven tools.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to align on experience strategy, success metrics, and technical feasibility—translating design insights into business outcomes and measurable impact.

• Conduct user research and execute experiments to validate design choices. Define success metrics, collect feedback, and iterate quickly—always balancing speed with quality and prioritizing shipping.

• Facilitate design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and strategic discussions with design peers and cross-functional partners. Clearly communicate design rationale using data, influence decisions, and foster alignment around priorities.

• Recognize gaps and opportunities for design enhancement and innovation. Advocate for and propose new methodologies to tackle complex challenges—whether through improvements in design systems, new AI patterns, or cross-domain initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in UX / Digital Product Design, with a compelling portfolio that highlights shipped work, live prototypes, and tangible business impact—not merely static screens. **We kindly ask that you provide your portfolio in advance, as it is a crucial part of our interview process. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with scheduling an interview without it.**

• Proven expertise in AI-driven design: you actively incorporate AI tools (Figma Make, Lovable, Cursor, Claude, etc.) into your design practice and can teach others to utilize them effectively.

• Experience in building or contributing to design systems, including code components. You comprehend how design choices affect engineering execution and can collaborate closely with engineering teams.

• Established track record of mentoring and nurturing designers. You provide and welcome constructive feedback, assist others in enhancing their skills, and foster psychologically safe environments for growth and experimentation.

• Strong product and business acumen: ability to strategically frame problems, link design decisions to business outcomes, and establish success metrics that demonstrate measurable impact.

• Exceptional English communication and influencing skills: you clearly convey design rationale with data, facilitate complex discussions, and drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.

• Growth mindset and adaptability: you excel in ambiguity and rapid change, prioritize learning and impact over mastery of any specific tool, and are enthusiastic about emerging technologies and evolving design methodologies.
