• Take ownership of the complete design process for key product experiences, demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship from initial exploration to refined execution. We aspire to create experiences that rival those of Linear, Vercel, Attio, or Raycast.
• Develop AI communication workflows (Voice AI, SMS, email) and complex data interfaces such as campaign builders, journey orchestration, and performance dashboards that strike a balance between functionality and simplicity.
• Simplify intricate, multi-step workflows (campaigns, audiences, journeys, integrations) into clear mental models that cater to both single-location SMBs and multi-location enterprise teams.
• Leverage Claude and other AI tools to swiftly prototype interactive flows and rigorously test designs with product and engineering teams.
• Contribute to and enhance our design system, a scalable component library built on shadcn/ui, ensuring seamless integration with our React + Tailwind stack.
• Engage regularly with customers. Conduct user research with operators in home services to deeply grasp their workflows, translating insights into product strategies and design direction.
• Collaborate with Hatch CSRs and AI specialists to create interfaces that instill trust, control, and brand consistency in our AI solutions for every customer.
• Champion design best practices while collaborating with engineering on implementation, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in product design or UX/UI within high-growth technology settings.
• Proficient in Figma, with the ability to rapidly prototype using AI tools like Claude, transitioning swiftly from concept to tangible product.
• Well-acquainted with common UX/UI patterns and possesses strong visual design instincts, paying close attention to hierarchy, typography, and refinement in every project.
• Highly independent and proactive. You do not wait for guidance; instead, you identify the right problems to tackle, define their scope, and drive them to completion.
• Comfortable with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS) and eager to implement small yet impactful UX improvements in production environments. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or agents is an advantage.
• Possess strong instincts in information architecture. You can distill a complex feature set into a clear, scalable structure.
• Communicate with clarity and curiosity. You can articulate design rationale effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, leading customer interviews that remain focused and delve into the right topics.
• Experience in designing complex, data-intensive AI products (e.g., dashboards, workflow builders, conversational or communication interfaces) for enterprise-level, B2B, or multi-location operators in non-technology sectors like home services.
• Hybrid work environment (3 days per week in our NYC office)
• Medical, dental, and vision benefits
• 401(k) plan with matching contributions
• Flexible PTO
• Opportunity to contribute at the ground level of a high-growth, mission-driven company
