Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design strategy and execution for products tailored for both students and universities across mobile and web platforms.

• Spearhead the design of new products from inception — several greenfield projects are currently in development and will be your main focus.

• Convert intricate workflows and data-intensive tools into seamless, user-friendly experiences that inspire confidence in both students and admissions personnel.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape project roadmaps, influence product direction, and ensure high-quality results.

• Start establishing the groundwork for a cohesive design system that can scale throughout our product ecosystem.

• Perform user research and conduct usability testing to guide design choices.

• Advocate for a user-focused approach and contribute to the development of a design culture within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in product design, showcasing a strong portfolio that includes both mobile-first consumer applications and sophisticated B2B or enterprise tools.

• Proven track record of designing products from the ground up in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

• Demonstrated capability to manage product design from inception to polished execution.

• Comfortable working independently as a designer without a supporting team, while effectively prioritizing your workload.

• Confident in collaborating with various departments and presenting design choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong empathy for end users — including students navigating complex processes and university staff overseeing operations.

• Excellent systems thinking skills, enabling simplification of complex workflows through intuitive user experiences.

• A clear communicator who champions design and facilitates clarity in cross-functional collaboration.

• Bonus Points if you have... ⭐ Experience in designing for AI-driven tools or workflow automation platforms.

• ⭐ Knowledge of higher education, particularly in areas like enrollment, transfer admissions, or SIS/CRM integration design patterns.

• ⭐ Experience in building or contributing to a design system from the ground up.
