This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design the comprehensive administrative experience by creating a cohesive narrative across a complex, multi-product ecosystem, ensuring these experiences appear seamless rather than disjointed.

• Identify and clarify problem areas in collaboration with Product and Operations partners, focusing on clear outcomes for admins, decision-makers, and businesses rather than just a list of feature requests.

• Contribute to establishing the roadmap rather than solely implementing it - collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Data to align priorities with administrative needs, business performance, and the practicalities of managing food programs at scale.

• Lead discovery efforts based on genuine business practices regarding food purchasing and management by working with Sales, Account Management, Support, and Research to grasp the complexities of enterprise procurement, program management, and organizational dynamics.

• Design for various user personas simultaneously, including decision-makers, billing leads, program administrators, and corporate orderers - ensuring that transitions between roles and touchpoints feel deliberate rather than coincidental.

• Elevate the standards for interaction, systems, and visual design as you develop user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Contribute to and advocate for our design system, ensuring that administrative experiences are consistent, scalable, and accessible.

• Leverage data and experimentation to inform iterations by collaborating with Analytics and Product teams to establish metrics, design experiments, and analyze outcomes. Utilize data and research to determine when to iterate, pivot, or invest in foundational UX enhancements.

• Foster alignment across various disciplines and teams by facilitating workshops, critique sessions, and working meetings that assist teams in framing challenges, exploring solutions, and converging on impactful outcomes. Engage partners with compelling storytelling and artifacts.

• Employ AI-driven tools to expedite the design process, from early prototyping to research synthesis, and contribute to enhancing the overall team's adoption of these tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in roles such as product designer, user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar, complemented by experience in visual/graphic design.

• Proven experience designing for intricate, multi-step journeys, preferably within admin tools, dashboards, or multi-sided marketplaces.

• A history of influencing team priorities, moving beyond merely visual design to assist teams in transitioning from completing tickets to addressing well-defined problems with measurable results.

• Ability to collaborate closely with non-engineering partners such as Sales, Account Management, and Support, translating their frontline insights into product strategies and design choices.

• A positive demeanor with the capacity to provide clear, constructive feedback, as well as actively seek input on your own work.

• Proficiency in Figma suite, Claude design, and prototyping tools.

• Experience in designing with and contributing to a comprehensive design system.

• A detailed portfolio that highlights:

• Your approach to resolving complex, multi-stakeholder challenges.

• The journey of your process from discovery to launch and iteration.

• The impact of your work on customers and businesses (preferably including metrics on activation, retention, or operational enhancements).

• Strong storytelling and communication abilities that demonstrate your capability to articulate complex processes and trade-offs in a manner that connects with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Well-honed collaboration and facilitation skills, being as thoughtful about team dynamics as you are about design elements.

• A sharp intellect, a compassionate approach, and a good sense of humor.

• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other events, as needed.
