Senior Product Design Manager, Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design vision for Engine’s booking experience, enhancing it to be smarter, faster, and more enjoyable. This experience is a significant revenue source for our business and will greatly influence our growth trajectory.

• Mentor and guide a skilled team of 3-6 product designers while actively contributing your expertise when necessary.

• Establish the creative direction and maintain high standards for clarity, craftsmanship, and consistency across all travel interfaces.

• Transform insights, trends, and product objectives into simple, intuitive experiences that resonate with our users.

• Collaborate closely with partners throughout the company to expedite solutions, address genuine traveler issues, and deliver impactful work.

• Advocate for design’s contribution to shaping strategy and achieving meaningful business results.

• Employ modern AI-native workflows (Cursor, Figma Make, MCPs, prototyping systems) to enhance efficiency and leverage capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the complete product lifecycle, from developing product strategies and guiding discovery to executing concepts and preparing for builds.

• Strong design skills encompassing visual, interaction, and UX design, with an emphasis on clarity, utility, and delight.

• Expertise in navigating complex stakeholder groups.

• Leadership experience in recruiting, mentoring, and raising the team's performance standards.

• Demonstrated ability to align and influence product managers, engineers, data analysts, and executives.

• Proficient in Figma, design systems, and emerging tools such as Pencil / Cursor.

• Ability to tell clear, compelling stories, effectively communicating the strategic rationale behind design decisions.
