Senior Product Cybersecurity Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Define and assess the execution of cybersecurity controls, which encompass, but are not limited to, embedded operating systems, encryption, access controls, network security, and secure coding practices.

• Possess specific hands-on expertise in the implementation of cybersecurity embedded operating systems, networking, and cryptographic controls.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to conduct process activities aimed at defining requirements, identifying design shortcomings, detecting implementation flaws, verifying the cybersecurity posture of the product, and securing Torc's offerings.

• Work alongside product development teams to integrate security into the design and development lifecycle of products and other software development tasks.

• Keep up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, consistently refining our software security methodologies, strategies, and solutions accordingly.

• Interface with external security vendors and partners, managing those relationships to ensure the effective integration of third-party security solutions.

• Prepare and deliver evidence in the cybersecurity domain to illustrate readiness for launching new products or releasing new software versions from a cybersecurity standpoint.

• Provide training to internal stakeholders on security practices and serve as a resource for expert cybersecurity support when needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in engineering with safety-critical, cyber-physical systems (automotive, aerospace, medical).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated competencies and technical skills typically acquired through 6+ years of experience.

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to embedded, automotive, and autonomous systems.

• Proven experience with embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX, Autosar) and embedded networking.

• Expertise in identifying software/hardware weaknesses, security vulnerabilities, and documentation through Threat Modeling.
