This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform awarded scopes and vendor choices into actionable contracts, encompassing scope definition, commercial terms, and contract structure.
• Direct contract negotiations to synchronize pricing structures, risk distribution, and commercial frameworks with project specifications.
• Assess vendor proposals from a commercial standpoint, pinpointing gaps in scope, inconsistencies in pricing, and potential risk exposure.
• Formulate agreements with explicit inclusions, exclusions, cost drivers, and financial terms to facilitate accurate project execution.
• Collaborate with Construction and Preconstruction teams to ensure project specifications are distinctly outlined and contractually aligned.
• Liaise with Legal, Risk, and internal stakeholders to address commercial and contractual matters.
• Draft and route agreements through internal approval processes to ensure timely execution.
• Deliver real-time commercial insights to site teams during vendor interactions and proposal evaluations.
• Mentor site leaders on scope clarity, vendor assessments, and best commercial practices to enhance decision quality.
• Advocate for the consistent application of templates, playbooks, and standardized contracting methods to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance commercial outcomes, including optimization of cost structures and contracting processes.
• Assist in comprehensive contract execution activities, ensuring alignment with internal systems and documentation standards.
• Over 8 years of experience in construction procurement, preconstruction, or commercial contracting.
• Profound understanding of construction cost structures, contract frameworks, and principles of risk allocation.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating intricate commercial agreements within a project-based setting.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Construction, and Operations teams.
• Capability to operate autonomously in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in influencing and guiding stakeholders without direct authority.
