Senior Procurement Officer, Supply, Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive negotiations for complex, high-value contracts. Skillfully negotiate essential commercial terms, focusing on optimal payment arrangements, cost structuring in relation to cash flow, and strategic credit discounting.

• Cultivate relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that Runpod obtains the most favorable terms for its infrastructure requirements.

• Serve as the main liaison between the procurement team and the Legal department. Examine intricate contract clauses, convert commercial needs into legal terminology, and facilitate an efficient contract execution process.

• Evaluate procurement data and vendor proposals to project expenses, reduce supply chain risks, and promote ongoing cost efficiencies without compromising quality or deployment timelines.

• Partner with engineering teams and finance leadership to grasp technical specifications, aligning procurement strategies with ambitious product delivery schedules and organizational growth objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive and demonstrated experience overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, with a strong focus on negotiating and finalizing complex, enterprise-level agreements.

• In-depth understanding of financial structuring within contracts. You should be adept at leveraging payment terms, balancing capital expenditures against cash flow, and maximizing value through credit discounts.

• Strong ability to interpret and assess complex legal language, ensuring the company's interests are safeguarded while facilitating effective collaboration with legal advisors.

• Motivated to address supply chain challenges, manage intricate vendor relationships, and creatively devise deals that enhance the company's financial stability.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Direct experience in procuring hardware, software, or services specifically in the datacenter, cloud computing, networking, or AI technology sectors.

• Familiarity with contemporary procurement software, ERP systems, and supply chain best practices in a rapidly growing tech environment.

• Previous experience in a dynamic, remote-first startup setting.

• Advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Law (e.g., CPSM, JD) is preferred.
