This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Exhibit proficiency in overseeing intricate material procurements that involve a detailed bill of materials (BOM) with numerous line items and demanding schedules, including the supervision of line items with extended lead times in a fixed price context.
• Work collaboratively with various suppliers to ensure timely delivery and partner with program teams to identify and qualify secondary sources, guaranteeing the continuity and fulfillment of program needs.
• Provide overall leadership and management of the procurement function that supports designated programs.
• Set performance metrics and objectives for staff that align with directives from senior leadership.
• Manage procurement staff, including workload distribution, performance evaluation, career development, hiring, and retention within supported programs.
• Communicate information regarding ethics, conflicts of interest, company policies, communication protocols, and restrictions on external communications.
• Conduct regular training sessions on SAIC policies, procedures, guidelines, acquisition techniques, procurement integrity, supplier communication protocols, best-value methodologies, source selection boards, and government approval processes.
• Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, which includes proposal activities, formulation of evaluation criteria, proposal analysis, negotiations, and supplier selection.
• Manage risk identification, avoidance, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely supplier awards that comply with public law, federal regulations, SAIC standards, and program schedules.
• Address complex tasks that necessitate thorough analysis of both routine and non-routine data.
• Collaborate with other SAIC departments to ensure legal, accounting, leasing, risk management, employee relations, cybersecurity, and compliance needs are met as necessary.
• Interpret and enforce company-wide policies and procedures effectively.
• Maintain procurement audit compliance across all programs.
• Ensure the achievement of program goals, timelines, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company and governmental regulations.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by procurement leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree accompanied by 18 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with fifteen (15) years of experience, including at least eight (8) years in a managerial role.
• Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
• Candidates must possess the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Extensive understanding of FAR and DFAR regulations.
• Exceptional skills in time management.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Capability to effectively communicate at various levels with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Strong team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to function independently with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Candidates located in Charleston, South Carolina, are preferred, but remote candidates with suitable experience will be considered.
• Applicants must have an active Top Secret clearance.
