This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead strategic procurement operations that support critical defense and government projects.
• Work in conjunction with Programs, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering to grasp requirements and synchronize procurement activities with program needs and timelines.
• Address intricate supply chain issues for the Department of War and the Intelligence Community.
• Formulate and present strategic sourcing strategies, which include supplier selection, risk evaluations, and performance assessments.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from planning to closeout, in line with company policies, FAR, and DFARS.
• Contribute to business growth objectives and enhance program performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Perform market analysis, supplier qualification, source selection, and evaluations of cost/price reasonableness.
• Utilize purchasing and ERP systems to generate and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance.
• Keep precise procurement files and documentation.
• Employ AI-enabled tools and leverage AI to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain.
• Propose and assist in executing procurement process enhancements.
• Liaise with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders regarding order updates, modifications, and returns.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting (or a Master’s degree with 3 years).
• Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US Citizenship is mandatory).
• Proven experience in negotiations and supplier management.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations, along with the ability to interpret and apply federal acquisition policies in context.
• Understanding of ITAR/EAR export controls and practices to prevent counterfeit parts.
• Collaborative, self-driven, and efficient, possessing strong business judgment and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with customers, partners, and colleagues at all levels.
