This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Oversee the EMEA tax team, managing both direct and indirect tax operations.
• Organize and evaluate recurring VAT, CIT, and other tax compliance reports for EMEA entities.
• Prepare and assess US GAAP tax provision calculations, including provisions for individual entities, ASC450, and FIN48 calculations.
• Assist with the local accounting closing processes.
• Promote process innovation within EMEA tax compliance operations.
• Collaborate with the global tax team and the finance organization to implement standardized solutions and enhance operational efficiencies.
• Manage tax projects, including Pillar Two, R&D incentives, e-invoicing, and legal entity rationalization.
• Offer strategic support during EMEA tax audits, dispute resolutions, and other controversy issues.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Tax.
• A degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a similar qualification, such as Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst.
• More than 7 years of experience in indirect and direct tax within a Big 4 firm and/or a multinational corporation.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing people.
• Extensive knowledge of EMEA VAT and CIT regulations.
• Understanding of tax accounting under US GAAP and local standards.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing US GAAP tax provisions and deferred tax positions.
• Background in tax controversy and audit defense across various EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to clarify complex tax technical concepts to a non-tax audience.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder expectations across various jurisdictions.
• Capability to accurately pinpoint issues and employ effective problem-solving techniques.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and sound judgment regarding materiality.
• Proficient user and quick learner of technology and systems, including Workday, MS Office, Google Suite, Alteryx, OneSource, and AI.
• Adequate command of English for professional verbal and written communication.
