Senior Process Control Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance process control strategies for facilities involved in oil and gas production and processing.

• Create and uphold process control documentation, such as control narratives, Cause & Effect diagrams, and P&IDs.

• Serve as a reviewer for SCDs and logic diagrams developed by other team members.

• Assist in facility startups, shutdowns, and commissioning processes.

• Promote process safety initiatives, which include alarm management, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and recommendations from HAZOP studies.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards, environmental regulations, and company safety protocols.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

• Collaborate with suppliers and clients to develop documentation that guarantees effective process control systems are established.

• Act as a liaison between the Process Engineering team and the Instrumentation team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• 8–15 years of experience in process engineering and process control within the oil and gas sector.

• Strong grasp of process control principles and PID loop tuning, with a focus on overall system performance and comprehension.

• Awareness of how process properties impact process control.

• Proficient in English.
