Senior Platform Engineer, Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and expand storage-based infrastructure systems across various tenancy models (single vs. multi-tenant) and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP).

• Enhance our team's knowledge in additional areas such as relational databases, search, caching, queuing, and streaming to bolster platform scalability, security, and developer experience.

• Collaborate with Architecture, Release Engineering, Network, Compute, and Security teams to deliver a cohesive platform for application teams.

• Utilize tools and programming languages including Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Python, SQL, Go, Bash, and Datadog.

• Engage in a structured on-call rotation within an environment that prioritizes continuous improvement, aiming to enhance reliability and minimize operational toil.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and managing relational data and object storage platforms in a production environment.

• Practical experience with one or more cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and declarative Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.

• Proficient in programming or scripting with Python, Go, Rust, or Bash.

• Strong communication skills and experience working asynchronously in a fully remote, distributed team setting.
