This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Develop and sustain an Excel Web Add-in utilized by finance teams in both Excel Online and desktop versions.
• Create cloud APIs that manage report execution, parameters, and results effectively.
• Construct and enhance a secure on-premises connector service that interfaces with customer SQL Server environments or connects to Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
• Design and optimize SQL queries and schemas tailored for reporting and analytics applications.
• Ensure consistent reliability, performance, and security throughout the entire system.
• Convert business and reporting requirements into precise technical use cases and system designs.
• Define system boundaries, responsibilities, and data flows clearly.
• Break down larger initiatives into well-defined, sequenced work items.
• Assess designs and implementations provided by other developers.
• Establish practical standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Serve as a technical partner to product and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to AI-enhanced features across the platform, including reporting support, metadata generation, workflow acceleration, and semantic interpretation.
• Use pragmatic judgment to determine where AI can provide leverage and where engineering rigor is essential.
• Native or near-native English language proficiency is required for consideration.
• 8–12 years of software development experience, including significant time spent on complex production systems.
• Authentic architecture experience, with the ability to diagram system components, data flows, and boundaries on the spot for systems you have developed.
• Strong experience in .NET / ASP.NET Core backend development (primary preference); extensive Node.js/TypeScript experience will be considered.
• Advanced SQL Server skills, including query performance tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, stored procedures, and reporting-oriented schema design.
• Front-end development skills using TypeScript and React or a comparable modern framework.
• Experience in building or integrating Excel add-ins using Office.js or VSTO is highly preferred.
• Proven experience with large-scale, data-intensive systems, rather than CRUD applications or limited feature work.
• Familiarity with Azure fundamentals, CI/CD pipelines, and production diagnostics.
• Experience in developing AI-assisted features or integrating LLM capabilities into production systems is strongly preferred.
