This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee the comprehensive technical execution of frontend projects within the platform engineering team, encompassing requirement shaping, technical design proposal creation, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
• Convert departmental initiatives and team objectives into scalable frontend architectural decisions, while balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Play a significant role in the advancement of our internal developer portal and other UI applications, enhancing shared libraries, platform capabilities, and system design.
• Effectively navigate ambiguous problem areas by identifying risks, validating assumptions, and proactively mitigating solutions before they affect delivery.
• Safeguard the long-term integrity of the codebase by minimizing technical debt, enhancing test coverage, and establishing high standards for code quality and performance.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure alignment on trade-offs, API contracts, and non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and security.
• Actively monitor, debug, and resolve production issues, contributing to observability, incident response, and post-mortem analyses that fortify our systems over time.
• Provide mentorship and support to fellow engineers through insightful code reviews, technical advice, and knowledge sharing that elevates the overall team standard.
• Stay attuned to business priorities and customer impact, ensuring that your technical decisions are in harmony with Weave’s broader product and organizational objectives.
• Over 5 years of experience in building modern web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• More than 3 years of experience with React (or a similar contemporary frontend framework).
• Proven experience in leading the technical implementation of production features from start to finish.
• Strong comprehension of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience in consuming and influencing RESTful APIs.
• Background in full-stack engineering.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Experience in writing automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E).
• This position will be remote.
