Senior Platform Engineer – Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for user controls, identity, and security across the platform.

• Enhance and fortify secure content sharing capabilities, ensuring appropriate data access for the right users under the correct conditions.

• Contribute to Data Studio and related tools that make platform data accessible to both internal and external users.

• Work on Dgraph internals as necessary while creating services and applications that utilize Dgraph.

• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and integration teams to uphold consistent identity and security standards throughout the ecosystem.

• Influence technical decisions regarding data access patterns, permissions models, and secure sharing architecture.

• Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code in Go and Python, emphasizing reliability, security, and performance.

• Engage in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning for the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend or platform engineering.

• Strong expertise in Go and Python.

• Proven experience in building identity, access control, permissions, authentication, authorization, or other security-centric systems.

• Comfortable working across the entire stack, with a strong preference and expertise in backend services.

• Experience with graph databases (Dgraph or similar) is highly desirable.

• A genuine interest in contributing to database internals is advantageous.

• Strong comprehension of distributed systems, reliability, security, and performance optimization.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living within the United States.
