Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Make informed decisions based on various quality dimensions such as user impact, failure tolerance, code maintenance, implementation time, security breaches, and performance.

• Establish quality gates and enhance agentic-driven processes and workflows.

• Collaborate on innovative ideas to enhance team processes.

• Lead projects and take ownership of subproducts and feature development from the problem statement and specification stages to production deployment.

• Monitor and ensure the quality of our product.

• Raise awareness regarding technical issues.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of business value and work with stakeholders by analyzing features and proposing alternatives.

• Assist users of our platform and tooling with their issues and resolve any bugs they may encounter.

• Proactively identify technical debt and product areas needing attention or enhancements and recommend improvements to our technology stack.

• Mentor fellow team members.

• Bring challenging and/or systemic issues and obstacles to your manager's attention.

⛳️ Requirements

• A strong background with 8+ years in software development.

• At least 5 years of experience with systems-level or backend technologies such as Rust, Go, C/C++, or Java.

• Proficient in DevOps, including containers, observability, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with Rust is preferred, although not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm is advantageous.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or similar) is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable) is preferred.

• Knowledge of frontend technologies like React is a plus.

• Adoption of agentic development tools and practices for regular work and personal automation projects, such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini-cli, OpenCode, pi-agent, or others.

• Strong understanding of functional and object-oriented programming, automated software testing, and essential development methodologies.

• Ability to evaluate multiple quality dimensions, including risk assessment, user impact, failure tolerance, code maintenance, implementation time, security breaches, and performance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in autonomy in all aspects of daily work—capable of unblocking yourself by connecting with the right individuals or resources.

• Team-oriented, avoiding solo performances while helping to unblock peers.

• Commitment to quality through impactful testing, process change proposals, and raising awareness of issues, whether they are related to the product or technical aspects.

• Attention to architecture—applying best practices, utilizing software design patterns, and proposing ideas for enhancements.
