Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the platform roadmap by identifying necessary fixes, new features to develop, and actively driving initiatives forward. This role goes beyond merely following tickets.

• Spearhead cost management efforts for our infrastructure, focusing on proxy costs that rank among our highest expenses. Discover optimization possibilities and execute them while maintaining performance and security.

• Guarantee the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure through effective monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery plans.

• Enhance security protocols to safeguard against persistent threats and attacks.

• Oversee the integration of our two infrastructure stacks into a single platform, ensuring minimal disruption during the transition.

• Work closely with development teams, with the potential for involvement in AI initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of platform or DevOps engineering experience at scale, showcasing a history of driving infrastructure advancements rather than merely maintaining existing systems.

• Proficient in Kubernetes and experienced in containerization and orchestration for large-scale deployments.

• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) with significant experience in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (such as Datadog, New Relic, ELK, Prometheus, or similar) and the ability to discern what constitutes 'good' performance.

• Strong communication abilities to advise and influence technical stakeholders, adapt to various teams, and thrive in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.

• A proven track record of utilizing AI tools to generate tangible impacts at work, beyond just productivity enhancements.
