• Design and oversee the core AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Develop and maintain robust Kubernetes environments, GitOps practices, and observability tools.
• Influence the process by which engineering teams deploy to production, including progressive rollouts, canary deployments, and rapid, secure rollbacks.
• Integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with policy-as-code, OIDC-based cloud access, secret scanning, and pre-merge controls, in collaboration with our Security team.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices for infrastructure, databases, and deployments.
• Continuously enhance CI/CD processes and developer tools.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with the team, supported by the observability and tools you help create.
• We utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., code generation, debugging, and platform operations). You should either already be comfortable working in this manner or be eager to embrace it.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production at scale, not just deploying to it, but also operating it.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance developer experience and increase platform adoption across various teams.
• Extensive experience in cloud environments, preferably with AWS.
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform (experience with Terragrunt is a plus).
• Practical knowledge of a contemporary observability stack, including Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Flux.
• Proficient in scripting with at least one of the following languages: TypeScript/Node, Python, or Go.
• A solid understanding of Linux, networking, and security principles.
