This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create tools, established paths, and self-service abstractions that allow product teams to operate efficiently.
• Focus on engineering the infrastructure layer rather than merely managing clusters.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code repositories that feature typed component resources, factories, and multi-environment stacks.
• Construct and oversee the EKS platform, which includes Karpenter autoscaling and GitOps delivery.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automate the release process.
• Design developer-experience tools and AI-driven development workflows.
• Implement observability, network and edge security measures, along with SOC 1/SOC 2 evidence automation.
• Plan and maintain cloud infrastructure, databases, event-driven systems, APIs, Kubernetes platforms, and security controls.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services.
• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of parallel programming concepts.
• Extensive skills in PostgreSQL and ORM optimization, including experience with Prisma and Slonik.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Robust knowledge of system design and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with message brokers.
• Experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, or similar tools.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, ideally EKS.
• Knowledge of vendor-agnostic observability standards and tools.
• Understanding of network segmentation, including VPCs, subnetting, security groups, firewall settings, and DNS.
• Awareness of edge and network security, such as CloudFront, WAF, and ACM certificates.
• Experience in configuring pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Strong skills in AI-driven development using tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similar.
• Nice to have: Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with GitOps using ArgoCD, Kargo, and Helm.
• Nice to have: Certifications from AWS, CNCF, or the Linux Foundation.
• Nice to have: Experience with security tooling and SOC 1/SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of SRE and reliability practices.
• Nice to have: Understanding of FinOps and cost management.
