This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and enhance ACE’s Power BI ecosystem, which includes managing workspaces, permissions, data refresh schedules, gateways, report accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Design, create, and sustain Power BI reports and dashboards aimed at institutional reporting, academic analytics, and operational decision-making.
• Develop and improve data models, semantic structures, datasets, and reporting frameworks.
• Integrate data from SIS, LMS, CRM, and Azure data platforms utilizing connectors, APIs, and dataflows.
• Collect stakeholder requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.
• Uphold data governance, quality, privacy, and security best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance Power Platform solutions and integrations.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation.
• Construct and manage Power Automate workflows.
• Develop and support Power Apps.
• Offer end-user assistance, training, and guidance.
• Collaborate with Institutional Analytics, IT, and business teams.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of professional experience in developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI report development, dashboard design, data modeling, semantic models, DAX, Power Query, data visualization, and report validation.
• Experience in creating scalable datasets, semantic models, reporting frameworks, and data solutions.
• Familiarity with managing Power BI workspaces, permissions, scheduled refreshes, deployment processes, data security, and report performance.
• Experience in integrating various data systems using SQL, APIs, dataflows, connectors, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, dimensional modeling, and reporting data structures.
• Experience with SQL Server, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies.
• Background in developing workflow automation, preferably using Power Automate.
• Ability to gather requirements and convert operational inquiries into technical and reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, documentation, and quality-assurance skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work setting.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Preference for candidates with experience in enterprise systems or higher education environments.
• Preference for candidates with experience in Agile, Scrum, or iterative development methodologies.
• Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for the remote work location.
• Candidates located in Alaska, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, South Dakota, or Alabama cannot be considered.
