This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Design, develop, and sustain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Supervise container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes.
• Implement effective disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
• Construct, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for swift and dependable deployments.
• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure, configuration management, and application deployments.
• Incorporate automated testing and security measures into delivery workflows.
• Deploy logging, alerting, and observability tools to monitor both infrastructure and application performance.
• Identify and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks, outages, or system health challenges.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and rectify deployment issues.
• Ensure that infrastructure and delivery processes comply with security, governance, and compliance standards.
• Apply security updates and patches to infrastructure and platform components.
• Work alongside software engineers to ensure development adheres to operational best practices.
• Lead technical decision-making for infrastructure and platform projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for DevOps best practices throughout the teams.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in senior Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering positions.
• Strong proficiency with the AWS cloud platform.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar tools).
• Robust understanding of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Solid knowledge of networking, system administration, and cloud security practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Experience leading projects and influencing engineering decisions.
• Nice to Have:
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Programming skills in TypeScript, Python, or Go.
