Senior Planner/Scheduler – Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold comprehensive preconstruction schedules from the initial planning stage through to the construction handoff, ensuring alignment with project milestones and program goals.

• Construct and revise schedules within STACK's scheduling framework, ensuring precise logic, dependencies, durations, and milestone dates are maintained.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to consolidate design, permitting, procurement, utilities, commercial, and other essential workstreams into a unified schedule.

• Facilitate schedule working sessions to confirm assumptions, sequence activities, identify constraints, and highlight risks at an early stage.

• Evaluate critical paths, near-critical paths, float trends, and milestone shifts, and propose mitigation or recovery strategies.

• Generate schedule updates, milestone reports, and what-if analyses for project teams and STACK leadership.

• Assist in the ongoing enhancement of scheduling standards, templates, and reporting practices across the preconstruction phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be taken into account.

• Expertise in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6, along with knowledge of Microsoft Project.

• Comprehensive understanding of preconstruction and construction sequencing, work breakdown structures, critical path method (CPM), and optimal scheduling practices.

• Experience in data center construction or mission-critical infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools for KPI tracking and dashboard creation.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Over 7 years of experience in project scheduling, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead position.

• Experience in dynamic, high-tech environments with stringent timelines.

• PMP, AACE PSP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
