Senior Planner Buyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Organize stock replenishment schedules in accordance with forecasts, vendor capabilities, and manufacturing requirements.

• Oversee customer back orders and initiate manufacturing as necessary.

• Partner with the Forecast Manager to assess and enhance forecasts.

• Collaborate with finance business managers regarding profitability issues.

• Arrange work orders at the distribution center for kit assembly.

• Regulate excess stock levels to meet organizational objectives.

• Coordinate with content teams on specifications and timelines for new products.

• Source finished goods from international manufacturers.

• Guarantee prompt deliveries from suppliers or internal facilities.

• Address supplier-related issues concerning pricing, specifications, and delivery schedules.

• Accelerate jobs and organize drop shipments as needed.

• Work alongside the distribution center to resolve receipt-related challenges.

• Collaborate with cost accounting to finalize purchase orders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in a planner-buyer role.

• Proficient in Excel, Oracle JD Edwards, SAP, or other ERP platforms.

• Familiarity with book manufacturing processes is advantageous.

• Capable of handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
