Senior PHP Fullstack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Expand backend APIs, business logic, and database queries using PHP.

• Develop and refine UI components with React and contemporary JavaScript.

• Deliver features from inception to production deployment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within both legacy and modern codebases.

• Create automated tests for both backend and frontend workflows.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in technical discussions.

• Assume responsibility for specific backend services, API endpoints, or frontend modules.

• Assist in transitioning legacy PHP/jQuery code to modern full-stack architectures.

• Enhance performance, reliability, and scalability across the entire stack.

• Guide other engineers through collaborative pairing and constructive feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in developing and maintaining large-scale web applications.

• Solid understanding of PHP fundamentals, including OOP, MVC, and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.

• Proficiency in full-stack development, combining a PHP backend with a JavaScript frontend.

• Capable of navigating and modernizing legacy PHP codebases.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching systems (Redis, Memcached).

• Ability to write automated tests using tools such as PHPUnit, Jest, or similar.

• Basic understanding of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of deployment pipelines, version control with Git, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience in utilizing AI Agents and developing AI tools and Agents.
