Senior PHP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer experience.

• Improve Lendable’s lending platforms for better performance.

• Engage in comprehensive architectural discussions to influence the future of our products.

• Collaborate with product teams for UK, US, and International Expansion, including Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools.

• Operate within an engineering organization that encompasses backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines.

• Construct and sustain technology in-house utilizing modern data sources, machine learning, and AI.

• Assume ownership across a wide scope and make impactful decisions regarding Lendable’s direction and success.

• Collaborate in small teams to address challenges and create innovative solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong engineering background with a business-oriented focus and experience in modern PHP development.

• Proficiency in PHP 8.0 or higher is essential.

• Familiarity with the latest PHP features and best practices.

• Solid understanding of contemporary PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.

• Excellent skills in automated testing, including unit, integration, and functional testing.

• A genuine eagerness to learn, collaborate, and share ideas within a highly cooperative team.

• A high level of ownership and independence in work.

• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a notable advantage.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and financial systems is a bonus.

• Cross-functional experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
