Senior PHP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Assist in building and leading the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and delivery-oriented atmosphere.

• Stay updated on the business to make the most impactful decisions, taking into account both internal and client viewpoints.

• Share technical expertise with the team to ensure consistent, high-caliber output.

• Lead, code, and deliver large-scale, intricate projects.

• Collaborate with the team to implement project specifications and new business features through coding.

• Provide support to the team regarding technical development challenges, with or without coding assistance.

• Evaluate internal processes and suggest enhancements when necessary.

• Introduce technological advancements to the company, facilitating quicker and more effective processes.

• Maintain a comprehensive view of the company to identify the most effective solutions and deliver value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years of professional programming experience in development.

• Proven experience as a web developer utilizing PHP (essential).

• Solid understanding of WordPress; experience in creating a plugin or theme is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of AWS (extensive knowledge is not required as we have a DevOps team).

• Experience with PHP version 7.2 and above.

• Familiarity with PHP frameworks.

• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming.

• Advanced MySQL experience for implementing and optimizing queries (crucial).

• Knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery and other related frameworks.

• Familiarity with version control using Git.

• Understanding of ElasticSearch.

• Experience with the Semantic UI framework.
