This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and enhance reporting and dashboard solutions that cater to cross-functional business requirements.
• Convert technical outputs into intuitive visualizations, summaries, and actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced SQL to create, validate, and sustain scalable data models featuring reusable business logic, while also troubleshooting data quality challenges.
• Partner with the Data team to oversee data pipelines, automate manual processes, and uncover opportunities for improved efficiency and scalability using artificial intelligence (AI) and other methodologies.
• Implement statistical techniques, such as regression, forecasting, hypothesis testing, and survival analysis, to discern significant trends in people data.
• Act as a subject matter expert for surveys at GitLab, providing consultation on survey design, platform configuration, implementation, factor analysis, text analysis, trend identification, and results interpretation.
• Manage people analytics intake and office hours, assisting stakeholders in framing business inquiries, prioritizing requests, and extracting value from existing reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, business rules, analytical approaches, and reporting solutions.
• Proven experience in analytics, ideally within People Analytics, Recruiting Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in creating reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to develop and maintain analytical data models in large-scale relational databases.
• Proficient in R or Python for statistical analysis, data preparation, and workflow automation.
• Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing team member surveys.
• Strong data visualization and storytelling abilities, capable of creating and delivering presentations for senior and executive audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to produce well-structured reference materials.
• Familiarity with Workday reporting and data extraction, people systems like Greenhouse or Culture Amp, or AI experimentation and automation in analytics workflows is advantageous but not mandatory.
