This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.
• Facilitate precise and timely payroll processing across various locations, ensuring employees receive their payments correctly and on schedule.
• Oversee essential payroll tasks, which include managing employee changes, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and off-cycle payments.
• Accountable for payroll processing in Canada and India, ensuring adherence to local statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations in each region.
• Collaborate with Accounting, People Operations, and business teams to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and alignment of payroll information across systems.
• Assist with payroll system administration (preferably Paycom), encompassing employee data maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, and process enhancements.
• Support payroll-related reconciliations, reporting, month-end activities, and audit inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records while ensuring compliance with relevant payroll, wage and hour, and employment regulations across jurisdictions.
• Work in partnership with internal teams and external providers to support a dynamic global payroll landscape.
• Address employee payroll inquiries with precision, professionalism, discretion, and a customer-service-oriented approach.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance accuracy, leverage automation, and scale payroll operations as VIP expands.
• Stay updated on payroll trends, system improvements, and regulatory changes that may affect payroll practices.
• Proven experience in supporting payroll operations within a fast-paced, growing organization.
• Familiarity with payroll processes, payroll systems, and relevant payroll regulations.
• Required experience with multi-state payroll; exposure to global payroll operations is preferred.
• Experienced in working with payroll technology platforms; Paycom experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
• Capable of researching issues, solving problems, and continuously improving workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Comfortable working independently while engaging in a remote and distributed work environment.
