This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Oversee the precise and prompt processing of payroll and associated accounting functions for a workforce spread across multiple states.
• Act as the organization's authority on payroll operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate closely with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and IT departments to facilitate payroll administration, systems integrations, process enhancements, reporting, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Maintain payroll systems, address complex payroll challenges, and contribute to strategic payroll initiatives and system improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be taken into account.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in processing high-volume payroll, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing setting.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance necessities.
• Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now.
• Familiarity with UKG Dimensions/Kronos Time & Attendance systems is required.
• Experience with Oracle HCM or other enterprise HRIS platforms is preferred.
• Strong skills in payroll reconciliation and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis features.
• Previous experience in supporting payroll system implementations, upgrades, and user acceptance testing (UAT) is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with utmost integrity and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across various departments.
• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
