This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Oversee the onboarding process and transition of new patients.
• Accurately complete patient profiles and input prescription information.
• Act as a primary resource for physicians and their teams during the initiation of patient therapy.
• Build and maintain relationships with patients and care teams.
• Guarantee a positive patient experience throughout the onboarding process.
• Confirm patient profiles and verify insurance details.
• Organize in-home nursing services or outpatient facility care.
• Collaborate with Reimbursement Coordinators on benefit investigations, explanations, and financial assistance options.
• Inform patients about disease management programs and refer those interested.
• Assess referrals for completeness regarding orders and necessary documentation.
• Address unforeseen circumstances to ensure continuity of patient therapy.
• Deliver HIPAA-compliant updates on referral statuses to the client sales team.
• Manage patient interactions during the intake process.
• Complete credit card payment request forms and forward them to the finance department.
• GED/High School Diploma with 5 years of experience OR an Associate’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience in reimbursement, including knowledge of pharmacy benefit and medical benefit insurance coverage.
• Background in a pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with medical billing processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Capability to obtain state pharmacy technician registration as required by the program.
• Proficient in professionally handling challenging patient interactions.
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Ability to remain standing or seated for extended periods, up to 90% of the time.
• Skills in talking, hearing, typing, performing repetitive motions, reaching, and grasping.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Strong mental alertness, effective verbal and written communication, focus, attention to detail, adaptability, stress management, and analytical thinking skills.
