This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Collaborate with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to facilitate discharge and secure nursing and delivery services.
• Generate, communicate, and gather all necessary documentation for new referrals.
• Ensure upfront payments from patients and assist them in exploring payment options when necessary, including connecting them to financial assistance programs.
• Support ongoing efforts to maintain clean claims and manage denials, including following up on any missing paperwork.
• Provide assistance to the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special projects and serve as a backup for the Lead Specialist.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities and propose solutions to the PRM.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Internal applicants must possess at least 1 year of experience as a Patient Registration Specialist.
• Proficient in multitasking and managing multiple referrals and priorities at once.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with cross-functional sales and operations teams.
• Previous experience in healthcare or medical billing is preferred.
