This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Database instances that support IFS implementations.
• Conducting Oracle Database patching (PSU / RU / one-off patches).
• Executing and assisting with Oracle Database upgrades (for instance, from 12c to 19c or similar), including both planning and execution phases.
• Configuring and managing backup and recovery processes utilizing RMAN (Recovery Manager).
• Carrying out database restore and recovery operations, whether planned or incident-driven.
• Operating Oracle Database on Windows and Linux platforms (with Windows being the primary platform; Linux is utilized on select servers).
• Facilitating database migrations across environments (such as from PROD to TEST or DEV).
• Monitoring database health, troubleshooting incidents, and addressing performance issues.
• Optimizing SQL queries and assisting with performance tuning efforts.
• Modifying Oracle database parameters based on requirements for performance and stability.
• Providing database-level technical support for IFS Applications / IFS Cloud.
• Creating and managing users and roles within IFS.
• Assisting with IFS upgrades, deployments, and integrations from a database viewpoint.
• Collaborating closely with IFS consultants, middleware, and infrastructure teams.
• Supporting both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with Oracle Database and IFS Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Database installation and configuration.
• Proficient in Oracle Database patching (PSU / RU / one-off patches) and version upgrades (for example, from 12c to 19c or similar).
• Practical experience with RMAN backup and recovery, including restore operations and environment rebuilds.
• Skilled in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in adjusting Oracle database parameters to enhance performance and stability.
• Provided support for enterprise applications from a database perspective.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux as operational platforms for Oracle Database.
• Understanding of production environments, system stability, and operational responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate confidently in English within an international project setting.
